Finally after months of preparation, today is the day of our ROM. Can't believe today is our big day. Our ROM ceremony time is on 12pm.
The photographer arranged the MUA to reach at 5am. For the make up & hair do session, will need approximately 2 hours, so we can have buffer time to Thean Hou temple.
I woke up early at 4am to take a shower and wash my hair. Imagine how early is that haha. The MUA reached at 5am and started to make up and style my hair. We talked and chatted a lot. She even helped me to wear my dress and nubra lol. It was supposed to be 2 hours but in the end everything was done at 8am. Kyan already reached around 7am something.
After the MUA left, we have a quick breakfast and went out around 9.15am. We reached Thean Hou temple around 9.45am. After we reached, I received message from the photographer I deal with and that the photographer assigned to us cannot make it and due to last minute changes, we were assigned to another photographer. The assigned photographer didn't update them that he asked us to reach at 10am which is kind of irresponsible i think? So the photographer rushed to reach around 10.15am something.
So when the photographer arrived, we start our photo-shooting session. The photographer was friendly and funny so we feel comfortable around him. He will teach us how to pose. The weather was super hot and I was sweating like crazy. My hair was all over the place and sticky because of the sweat. So just a small tips, for someone who sweat easily as I do, you girls can consider to tie up your hair.
When it was almost our turn, our family member called us to let us know it's time to go to the Marriage Registration Office which is located at the basement near the canteen. We go to the the office to submit our IC together with witness IC and signed the form. Due to the pandemic, they only allowed 7 people (including the photographer) to enter the room.
After that it was our turn to go in the registration room. The marriage officer is waiting inside to solemnize our marriage. He asked us to check the certificate and sign it together with our witness. For me, it's my mum, while for him, it's his sister. We both said I do, exchange ring and that's it we got our marriage certificate! After that, we went to another room which have a backdrop for us to take picture.
After it was done, we went outside and it was just 12pm. My friends Funn, Ceres and Alexis had just arrived and they were shocked to see me that we have already done. HAHA. After that we all went up to have our group photo taken with our family and friends. After that we have our couple ending shot. Unfortunately, my college close friend, Peggy and her family reached after the photographer left which I feel a bit sad because we can't have a good pic.
So that's it.
We are officially husband and wife ♡

I have high expectation when I choose this photography team. I saw their portfolio on IG and really like their style and feel. So, I took their standard package worth RM988, but since they are having promo so it is just RM888.
The photography package we took, it comes with free gift that we can choose. Either it's bridal bouquet, A1 canvas print or special price at RM180(normal rate: RM400) for MUA. In the end, I choose MUA as during that time I think it's more convenient and I don't have to go search for MUA again. I do regret at my choice.
After our ROM on 12 June, we got the photos on google drive at 23 June, which is around 2 weeks time. The first time I went through the folder, I noticed that the group photos was missing and not inside the folder. So the next morning, I let the photographer know about this issue and he said he will check with his staff. Then around evening time, I finally got the group photos but it seems like some photos was not edited properly (like there are some photos with a lot of people behind our back) or it was a rush job or something.
Honestly I wasn't really satisfied with the outcome. Some of the angles are not right, some pose are not nice. Personally feel there's too much kissing pose (he kept asking us to kiss). And my group photo with my friends, one of it Alexis closed her eyes, another one Funn closed her eyes. There's no good photo with my friends together with Kyan. Luckily the group photo with only me is okay. So there's only some nice photos that can be use out of those 100++.

Make up artist (MUA): Dxxxx Make Up Studio*
I am disappointed. The week before ROM, the MUA asked me to send sample of make up and hair style that I prefer and also my skin condition. I choose those natural Korean make up style and wavy hairstyle sample to send to her. I also told her my skin is more sensitive, no alcohol, fragrance, etc.
I am not sure it is because of the package, they send me a part-time MUA. At first, she said she only got those normal serum and afraid it's not suitable for my sensitive skin. So I was like okay. So in the end she didn't put any ampoule or what on my skin. Remember the ampoule was inside the package?
Honestly, when I look at myself in the mirror after make up, I was a bit shocked at how I look. I looked 5 years older. I think she doesn't know how to style that person based on their features. The make up I feel is a bit old-fashioned. The fake eyelashes are a bit too much on my eyes. And the hair styling also make me looks so old. It was not the wavy curl that I want too. After she left, my mummy helped me to style my hair a bit to make it better and I touch up on my eyebrows too because it was a bit too thin for my face. It was a bit rush for us already because we need to be at Thean Hou temple at 10am.
But the MUA is very nice and she even helped me to wear my dress and even nubra which I feel really paiseh but thankful too.
Because I was using her hair accessories, I need to send it back to her (mail or send to her house) when the event it over. If I know this beforehand, I will definitely buy my own accessories first. Thanks to my hubby who helped me to send it to her house.
A big lesson for me to choose the right MUA for big event like this.

Gown & suit: Dressaville
We rented S August Bardot Bow Gown and Alex LT Grey Blazer, Vest & Bottom with White Shirt and Black Tie (but Kyan didn't wear the black tie). Received a lot of compliment for my dress and the back side is really pretty but it was not captured in the photoshoot. And we didn't have time to take picture ourselves so I was a bit upset.
One thing that we realised after ROM ceremony was that there is a loose thread at the zip part of the pants. The staff forgot to cut it after altering the pants. And we didn't check on it. Which looks really weird after we saw our ROM photos. So we have to edit ourself using Photoshop.

ROM bridal bouquet: @dreamincolours
We ordered the bridal bouquet from IG for RM280. Because the seller has event on Saturday, we have to get the flowers from her house in Ampang instead of her shop. The day Kyan got the flowers, the rose has turned brown a bit already. Eventhough she got taught us how to store the flowers so it won't turn brown easily but it does turn a bit more brown the next day.
I am not sure why the ribbon wasn't tied properly, it was like just one loop instead of ribbon, which I only realized this in the middle of the photoshoot. After that, I keep holding it so it looks like a proper ribbon bow.

Mask: Hook Clothing
I ordered this Off White Origami Charmeuse Satin Face Mask with Filter (RM29) from Hook Clothing from Shopee. It came with 1 piece of PM2.5 filter. It looks better and fit our face perfectly.
At first I brought Off White Premium Satin Mask with Filter (RM29) from Silk & Sugar from Shopee. The material is really nice. I brought S and M size. Unfortunately, both sizes is too big for our face :(

Went to this nail shop in Mont Kiara after introduced by Kyan's colleague. I got show some sample that I would like for my nail design. But as my nails was too short, it couldn't be done (so they said or they feel it's troublesome, cos I did went to another nail shop for another occasion and they can do what I show). So in the end, my bridal nail gel design was simple minimalist pastel colors with some diamonds
It took around 4 hours to complete. For first timer, the price is RM99, for my design total is RM150. You can get the complimentary gel removal service after done. I thought I can show my nail design properly in the photoshoot but too bad there is none.
