Getting Vaccinated

1st Dose - Sinovac

My first dose of vaccination is on 25/7. The vaccination center is at Bangi Avenue Convention Center (BACC). Of course, I was feeling pretty nervous before getting vaccinated. But I managed to eat some stuff before getting vaccinated.

The place is actually quite nice and big.

Have to queue up while waiting for the staff to check our mySejahtera status and appointment. 

I was directed to go to HCO B lane.

Inside the hall, we have to fill in the consent form beforehand while waiting for our turn. Then when it's my turn, the staff will need your IC and check your form.

After that, went to the next place to wait. The staff will tell you what kind of vaccination you will take (Sinovac, in my case) and if got any side effects to take paracetamol.  

Then it's time to get vaccinated. Due to the fear of being injected with empty syringe (since it keep on appearing on the news), I recorded the whole process using my phone. The lady was very kind and said I can record nicely. I was jabbed with the syringe and it was done.

We have to wait for about 10 minutes for observation and after that we can go.

When it was over, I was looking around to see if someone can help me to take picture with the board or not. Then a girl was asking me to help her to snap a pic, so in turn I asked her to help me snap too. Haha.

Day 1: Whole body feel hot, feeling thirsty and have trouble sleeping at night.

Day 2: Whole body feel hot, feeling thirsty and feel sleepy at 8pm

Day 3: Feel thirsty in the morning, mild headache and stomachache. 

It took awhile to feel normal again. Some people said they will eat a lot after vaccination, but I kind of lose my appetite after that.

2nd Dose - Sinovac

3 weeks later, my second dose of vaccination was on 15/8.

For the second dose, it was at the same venue at BACC. As usual i recorded the whole process and this time it was a guy staff who gave my vaccination shot. It was quite painful at the arm part. 

But this time the side effect is not as strong as the first time. Just mild headache and feel tired easily.

Booster Shot - Pfizer

After 3 months, we have to get our booster shot for Sinovac recipient (but for my case it was actually 4 months) and I got my appointment suddenly on 17/12. This time it was at UTAR Sg Long PPV (Sungai Long Specialist Hospital). The booster shot was Pfizer. A lot of people worry about the different vaccine mix up but I didn't think too much and just go with it.

Immediately after getting jabbed, the arm part was in pain and it keep on going throughout the day. On the first night, my whole body feel chill and I was shivering after taking shower.

Then the next morning, it was hellish. I got a headache, fever and I have trouble keeping my eyes open. I wake up to eat and then went back to sleep and this goes on for the rest of the day. I have no choice but to take panadol to feel better. Eat sleep eat sleep eat sleep till the next day.

I feel so much better on Day 3. The side effect really is no joke. I do feel terrified of the side effect if there's another booster dose coming.
