Sunbather Coffee @ The Sphere, Bangsar South

Went to Sunbather Coffee at The Sphere, Bangsar South for brunch to celebrate Funn's birthday.

The environment looks great and cosy. But not sure is it a lot of people, or the place is not so big, it feels like pasar malam where everyone is talking from different tables.

They served Western-influenced Japanese dishes. They have different menu for weekdays and weekends. Even some of the desserts are only served from 3pm onwards (which is a little bit late for us)

Sunbather Big Brekkie (RM32)
Japanese potato & egg salad, teriyaki chicken meatballs, shoyu sausage onigiri with torched cheese, tamagoyaki, corn salsa, minestrone, smoked salmon
*This is my first time eating Japanese - Western big breakfast which is something unique and tasty too.

Lemon Mentaiko Linguine (RM29)
Creamy and lemony cheese sauce, mentaiko, rocket leaves, herbed lemon oil
*True to its name, you can taste the sourness of the lemon more than the cheese. The whole pasta is sour which is really appetising. But it depends on whether you like the sourness or not.

Kuro miso swiss brown mushroom sautéed kale with shaved parmesan (RM16)
*The mushroom is delicious but the kale has bitter taste to it.

Buckwheat Galette (Ham & 4-cheese) (RM33)
Mozzarella, parmesan, sharp cheddar, pecorino romano, smoked ham & egg
*We actually don't know what is this when we ordered it. We thought it is some kind of pizza. And the taste is not what we expected. The texture is a bit soggy and it taste kind of different for us.

Iced Chocolate (RM11 - Regular I RM13 Large)
*Belgian chocolate drink with thick chocolatey taste and not overly sweet which is truly recommended if you like chocolate

We didn't have the chance to taste the dessert. Hope we can try it next time.
Happy birthday, Funn!
