This year, I didn't go back to hometown for Chinese New Year. Since we have nothing to do in KL during CNY, we decide to visit FGS (Fo Guang Shan) Dong Zen Temple in Jenjarom, Kuala Langat. The temple grounds are fully illuminated with decorations of lanterns and digital lights for CNY festival. I think the last time I was here, was in 2009 (that was 9 years ago!)
We reached around 7.30pm. As expected, the place was so crowded and packed with people. It is quite hard to take a good picture as there are too many people. So just enjoy the beautiful lantern with your eyes. It is nice to view the lanterns during night time but if you want to be in the picture, it might not be such a good idea unless you have a very professional camera as the lighting may not look so good on you. I tried and it doesn't look good at all.

Majestic swans at the musical fountain

There is also display of Chinese opera mask lanterns for Sichuan art of face changing.

As this year is the year of the dog, you can see dog lantern around the place

There is another area where there is a lot of cute lantern deco that will be enjoy by kids such as unicorn, teddy bear, penguin and so on.

I didn't manage to capture all the lantern deco because the area is huge. You will feel sweaty and hot after walking around the place. It took us around 2 hours. It is worth a visit if you enjoy beautiful lanterns and digital lights and embrace the Chinese New Year mood. So if you don't want to miss the chance to visit, remember this festival will be held on 14 Feb and end on 4 March.
