Finally, it's the day! After graduating from college for almost 7 years, finally have the opportunity to go on vacation with my close college mates, Peggy, Veronika & Su Xin. It is our first vacation trip to overseas, so pretty much excited. Woke up early in the morning to catch our 7.15am flight to Krabi.

After one hour flight, we finally reached Krabi. We booked a cab from the airport to send us to our hotel.

On the way to the hotel, the taxi driver dropped us at Krabi Somporn Travel & Service to plan our trip.

In the end, we booked all the tour here.
Day 1 - Krabi Night Market
Day 2 - Island Hopping (4 Islands + 1 bay) (1000 baht) - Andaman Krabi Travel & Tour
Day 3 - Hot spring waterfall / Emerald Pool/ Elephant trekking (1300 baht) - Thepphanom Travel & Tour
After that, my friend found out that we have brought a quite expensive package here. There were some agency that offer much more cheaper price than this. Sigh.
DAY 1
KRABI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - KRABI TIPA RESORT - KRABI NIGHT MARKET
When we reached the hotel, we couldn't even check in yet because we can only check in at 2pm. And because of the one hour time differences between Malaysia and Thailand, we still need to wait several hours before 2pm. So we rest at the lobby for awhile and snapped some photos. And when it was 2pm, we check in at the hotel and get ready for our night out later.

After resting at the hotel lobby for awhile, we went to check out the nearby Aonang Beach

KRABI NIGHT MARKET
A van from the tour agency came to pick us up from the hotel. There were a lot of other passengers on the van already which I believed was from other hotels. And here we were, at Krabi Night Market with a lot of foods and stuff to buy.

This was how our first night in Krabi ended.
DAY 2
ISLAND HOPPING (TUP ISLAND - SII ISLAND - PODA ISLAND - PHRA NANG CAVE BAY)
It was our second day in Krabi and it was island hopping day! We woke up early in the morning to get ready for 8.30am ride from the tour. After having our breakfast, we are ready to go!
We were given stickers to put on body to identify which tour we were on
And when we reached a place where people are gathered, we were there for quite some time waiting for the tour guide to check our name and stuff like that. So while waiting, we did what we did best - taking photos!

After getting all our name checked, we headed to the shore where our long tail boat are waiting

TUP ISLAND
We reached Tup Island around 10am something.
Weeeeeeeee! We are here!

The sea water is so clear and greenish
We can actually walk to another island nearby but we stopped halfway because of the time limitation (since we wasted the time taking photos. LOL) So we ended up taking a lot of photos instead of explore another island.

Taking photos with our foreigner friends who were on the same boat with us

SII ISLAND
After Tup Island, we were on the boat again heading to Sii Island which is the spot for snorkeling. The staff distributed the snorkeling equipments to those who want to snooker. But take note, if you can't swim, it is better to stay on the boat because there will be no people to teach you how to snooker for this tour. That is why I stay on the boat while my friends all went for snorkeling!

After snookering, we were on the boat again heading to another island. In our package, we are supposed to visit Chicken Island too but due to the tidal conditions, we just passed by.

PODA ISLAND
We reached Poda Island around 12.30pm. This was the place where we had our buffet lunch provided by the tour. It was actually like economical rice with plate. I saw other tours that provided lunch with styrofoam meal box which is so much better than ours.

We spotted this little creature and we couldn't resist to take picture with it

PHRA NANG CAVE BAY
The first thing we do is to buy some food from the boat market.
The sand is so hot when we walk. We found a shaded spot to enjoy our snacks.

After finishing our food, we quickly walk to the cave to check out the place
DAY 3
HOT SPRING WATERFALL - EMERALD POOL - ELEPHANT TREKKING
Third day in Krabi. Today is nature's day. We are going to hot spring, emerald pool and elephant trekking. We were in the van, heading to hot spring! There are other tourist in the same van as us too.

HOT SPRING WATERFALL
When we finally reached the destination, we need to walk a few minutes before we reach the hot spring.

EMERALD POOL
Our next destination is Emerald Pool.

We walked for about 15 minutes before we reached the emerald pool.
And here it is, the emerald pool with the color of... well.. emerald.
We decided to not go into the emerald pool and continue to search for another pool called Blue Pool deep inside the forest. Well, guess what? We walked for another 20 minutes before Blue Pool appeared. It was truly exhausting for people who have low stamina, like me.
Truly nature blue pool (Trust me, I didn't photoshop this photo at all. Raw straight from my phone camera)

We walked back to the entrance for another 30 minutes!
After that we have lunch at nearby restaurant provided by the tour.

ELEPHANT TREKKING
Elephant trekking is our last program of the day. Peggy and Su Xin went first while Veronika and me have to wait for quite some time before one of the elephants with passenger are coming back.
Finally, our elephant is here.

The elephant driver (known as Mahout) called Jun is a young man that communicates well with us in English. He introduce himself and the elephant that we ride called Soi.
With our elephant driver, Jun

Jun went down from the elephant, ask for my phone and start to take pictures of us all the way till the end of the ride. Thanks for his professional skills, we got tons of beautiful pictures.

The elephant brought us to the lake

See how excited Soi is, playing with water. Soi even surprised us when he pooped just at that moment
Riding on the elephant is not comfy at all, it was quite bumpy.
It really depends on your luck, because Peggy and Su Xin got an old elephant driver who couldn't communicate with them. Not only that, he had a hard time taking good picture. Either he focus on just the elephant or the human.
KRABI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Our last day in Krabi. The taxi that we booked beforehand came to fetch us to the Krabi International Airport.

Had a lot of fun with the girls during this trip. Hope we will have another trip coming soon!
WHAT WE EAT
On our first day, we went to search for a place to eat because we were all starving.
And we found La Casa Traditional Thai Cuisine

Refreshing coconut drinks

Pizza

Tom yam goong (tom yam in coconut milk)

Pineapple fried rice

We spotted another yummy snacks (recommended by my colleague) - pancake!

Our banana + nutella pancake which is truly delicious

We had our real dinner at this place called Aree Baba that has a nice environment and delicious food too. It is situated near our resort too.

Padthai (which is a must try!)

For our third night, we headed back to the same place last night, Aree Baba and had dinner there.

Dessert in coconut milk

We went to McDonald too to try the pork burger we couldn't find in Malaysia

WHAT WE DO
Before dinner, we went to a nearby massage and beauty salon called Sukhotai Massage & Beauty Salon for massage and manicure. My friends had massage while I have manicure and pedicure while waiting for them.

WHERE WE STAY
For our trip this time, we stayed in this hotel called Krabi Tipa Resort.
